The Jewel and the rst Word
For most of us however we need to understand and trust what we do. So explanations
and a sense of a journey are important. There is a lot of skill involved too, things that
need to be learnt, things that need to be unlearnt, and there is perseverance.
All through these books this writer has tried his best to keep the writing easy and
without special language. It’s not a secret society. If I am honest I think I have got a bit
better at this, trying to make it more everyday, more like a conversation. I don’t know.
I guess someone will have to let me know.
Let’s talk about a journey. To begin with we walk. We accept that there are stages,
setbacks and a destination. What can we call our destination? Let us call it completion.
We accept, maybe at first a bit unwillingly, that there is the possibility of needing some
help. That something comes to us, a gift, apparently from outside. From someone or
something that is greater than us. In this case Jesus. But absolutely not the version of
Jesus we have had rammed down our throats since we were very young. That version
is over now. Finished. This is something new. Something fresh.
If anyone would care to look around they might get a good sense of how crippling the
old dogmas riding on the sick train of religion has been to mankind. In this writers
opinion. I could rant for hours and days. Honestly it all makes me sick, the lies we
have been told. I, as much as anyone, have found it hard to break the bonds and shake
off the sticky spikes that have been planted in me.
