The Jewel and the rst Word
We address the Almighty with sureness and courage. That’s how. Standing at the bridge,
right there at the edge of the curtain of life.
Here is the question. It’s a big question.
How much of who I imagine myself to be do I have to give up?
Teach me Great Spirit of Life.
Nothing. There is nothing to give up.
If you were the one I love would you want me to give myself over? Like some kind of
lap dog? Meek and compliant. No, you would not. I don’t think so.
We could make it a proper relationship, a real one. Talk about stuff. There is so much to
understand. We could share the birds and the wind. I am the one who will make mistakes
and fall over again and again? I will. I will cut my head and bleed. But I will pick myself
up and come forward one more time.
Would you, my Great One, brush me off, discard me and tell me to come back later?
Perhaps when I’m a bit more sorted out?
No. I don’t think so. Not ever.
Because, Great Spirit of Life you have given me the Stone of my Being.
I will not be shaken.
