THE VAGRANT KING
(Kevin de Las Casas /F. Swindells)
Oh hold the line and keep your compass true ,
my love
be not amazed at all thats coming down
we were made to see the new day dawn, my love
and so to let the burden fall.
There came a man,
a vagrant King, my love,
to lead us all to a place called home,
to say His Name
is to be blessed. my love
and sow the seeds of golden dawn.
CHORUS
There came a man,
a vagrant King, my love,
to lead us all to a place called home,
to say His Name,
is to be blessed. my love,
and sow the seeds of golden dawn.
.......................
I am stronger now as I grow weak. my love,
younger now as days grow old,
wiser now in humble truth, my love,
and so to let the burden fall.
Vagrant here means wandering in a state of grace and poverty. Sandals and dust. The
desert. Poor man, rich in Spirit.
‘I am stronger’. We measure our age, by agreement, from when we are born onwards.
What if we turned it upside down? From the day of passing, backwards to where we
are now. This would make me a young man, wise in truth, becoming younger with
every day.
