NOTE (*3). meditation. What is meditation? Here we mean a process by which
someone can become aware of their own true nature. A ‘calm state’ in ‘meditation’
is considered one basis from where we can discover the present awareness that is
the fundamental of our existence. We do not create this ‘awareness’. It is ever
present. To simply pursue a ‘calm state’ is a good starting place but not the whole
picture. From the point of view of this writing discovery of our ‘true nature’ or
who we really are is the only valid direction. Meditation here is not deep
consideration of things nor is it deep prayer. Nor is it about simply making the
quality of our life better. The principles are different.
