Team winner, Ian Milne voiced his appreciation on behalf
of all the crews when he thanked the local marshals and
the organising team for making this an unforgettable rally.
Self appointed head barman, Peter Lovett, revealed that
the results of the drinking competition might be a little
late in being delivered. Apparently the Laudale hospitality
computer system had been simply overwhelmed by the
efforts of the crews.
With the prizes and speeches out of the way, a leisurely
lunch followed before the crews slowly drifted back to the
real world.
Reflecting on this second of the four Cloverleaf series
Fred Gallagher was delighted with the way that this event
had played out. He singled out the unfailing good humour
of the crews throughout and, never one to resist a pun,
ended by saying, “...with such a fine finish at Cromlix
House, owned by Andy Murray, (no stranger to a good
rally), it’s safe to say that once again Rally the Globe have
served up another ace”.
We’ll be back in Yorkshire soon. Watch this space.
