warning to us to keep moving. We duly obliged and, once
the final timing point had been reached and Gill and John
Cotton had recorded numbers, the rally set a course for the
night halt.
Segovia, a UNESCO World Heritage City, sits at the foot
of the impressive Sierra de Guadarrama. This Romanesque
town is famous for, amongst many other things, its
aqueduct and, to cap off an already impressive day, we’d
been given permission to strut our stuff underneath this
famous structure. Fred Gallagher and Sarah Ormerod had
set up their MTC with one of the best backdrops ever,
before sending crews up the road to the welcoming arms
of the Hotel Aurea Convento Capuchinos.
