Details of
our new
programme
inside
It goes without saying that the global
coronavirus pandemic has thrown plans
across the rallying world into disarray,
but it has also given us a great opportunity
to revitalise our programme of events.
Unfortunately, the widespread worldwide lockdowns
and major travel restrictions meant we had to review a
number of our rallies, leading to the cancellation of the
Celtic Challenge, all three parts of our Round the World
events and Carrera Atlantica.
We expect the USA to be a challenge for shipping
cars in time for Boston to Vancouver (Round the
World Part Two), and we don’t believe the USA and
Canada will be fully accessible in time for us to be able
to finalise our arrangements. For
Vladivostok to London (Round the
World Part Three), there is more
detailed recceing to be done and
we had been arranging for Kim
Bannister to travel out there in May
for six weeks, which has of course
not been possible.
Carrera Atlantica in February
2021 was to be totally new rally
territory for us and needed two
recces to ensure it would meet our
high standards. As the recces are
impossible at this time, we believe
that we would have run out of
time to organise this event to the
standard we are known for.
