Make-A-Wish Australia’s Group Head Of Partners Megan
Johnson said it had been fantastic to work with the Club
and the community over the two years.
With an increase in applications for wishes in 2023, MakeA-Wish Chief Executive Officer Sally Bateman said the
funds raised from the Cox Plate Charity Pin were vital.
“It’s an extraordinary amount of funds raised for MakeA-Wish, we can’t thank you enough. It’s not just about
the funds that are raised, it’s about the connections
that we made with your community through this
amazing partnership over the last two years.”
“At the moment we have over 900 kids on their wish
journey. This calendar year alone, we’ve received
22 per cent more applications into the program and
we’ve granted close to 430 wishes. So, it’s a pretty
incredible number of kids each and every day that
we’re able to support through the program, and
we are incredibly grateful for that opportunity.”
“Being able to connect with your community through all
of the opportunities you gave us, through the lunches, the
dinners, the race meets, connecting our volunteers on the
ground with individuals purchasing the pins, to be able
to share our story of Make-A-Wish, and the impact that
we make each and every day, with the Wish children.”
The Club will once again go to market this
year with an expression of interest for the
next Cox Plate Charity Pin partner.
