Mental illness and brain disorders affect everyone – one in
four of us directly.
The sole objective of The Psychiatry Research Trust is to
raise funds for research into these devastating conditions,
at the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology and Neuroscience
and its associated Maudsley and Bethlem Royal Hospitals.
The research is aimed at prevention and informed
detection as well as new and better treatments throughout
the whole range of mental health topics, including motor
neurone disease, eating disorders, psychotic illness,
addictions and childhood problems.

aggressive illness every day. Survival rates at three percent
over five years haven’t changed in 30 years and it’s the only
cancer where this rate has not improved.
