The Bluebell Railway Trust supports the Bluebell Railway
which was formed nearly 60 years ago as the pioneer
of standard gauge Heritage Railway Preservation.
The railway is home to a unique collection of historic
steam locomotives and rolling stock, some almost 150
years old, which it operates over its 11 miles of track
between Sheffield Park and East Grinstead. The staff is
primarily made up from volunteers but the railway runs
an apprenticeship scheme within its paid employees. At
Sheffield Park there is an award winning, state of the art
museum which is accredited by Arts Council England.
