INTRODUCING
SOMEWHERE CITY
Somewhere City is a French rock band formed in
Aix-en-Provence. Its music takes its inspiration
from Metal as much as from grunge or folk music,
and unveils an universe where melancholy and
hope intertwine and merge.
The band was founded by Indria Saray (Alcest,
Francesco and the Black Swans) in 2014 as a
solo project, the latter having as desire to write
and sing his own songs. He is joined a year later
by the guitarist Julien Lamarre (Main Art), then by
the drummer Yann Lerousseau and the bassist
Rémi Brard.
A first seld-produced EP is released on February
2018 The band started to record the first half of
its first album, CRY at the end of 2019, before the
covid crisis, and only resumed recording in 2022.
In 2023, Rémi, the bassist, decided to leave the
band. So Indria also recorded bass for the second
half of the album.
CRY was self-released in physical and digital
formats on 2024 March the 1st. The album
witnesses the difficulties to adapt the real world
and of the struggles to go outside of comfort
zones.
CRY is out now to stream on Spotify. Physical copies are also
available on Bandcamp
