LIVE REVIEW
MOTHER MOTHER
NEWCASTLE FEBRUARY 2024
Having just released their new album,
'Grief Chapters', an album that we
recently reviewed, Canadian indie-rock
band Mother Mother has brought the
album to life with an extensive world
tour. They stopped by Newcastle City
Hall in the North East of England and
we were lucky enough to catch the
show,
including
the
opening
act
Crawlers.
Getting to the venue early was a must
on the night to secure a good spot as
the queue wrapped around Newcastle
City Hall long before the doors were
due to open. Excited fans waited
eagerly to hear and see Mother Mother
with their own eyes and ears. As the
auditorium filled with fans, you could
feel the electric atmosphere building.
A little later than billed, probably to
allow as many people as possible into
the venue, Crawlers took to the stage.
The alt-rock four-piece from Liverpool
have been making waves recently with
their brand new album, 'The Mess We
Seem to Make' hitting UK charts at
number 7 and receiving no end of great
reviews. With seemingly boundless
energy vocalist Holly Minto's stage
presence was all-consuming. With high
kicks to kisses, Holly made sure that all
of the crowd's pent up energy was put
to good use.
