Showcase events are when we welcome schools into our own school to see
phonics teaching in action, hear the key messages of the English Hub Programme
and access our support. These events are for Head Teachers and Reading/Phonics
Leaders who will drive changes in their own schools. Eligible schools can claim up
to £160 in costs to attend.
In 2021-22, we are running two showcases:
Thursday 2nd December 2021, 9.00am - 2.30pm
Thursday 3rd February 2022, 9.00am - 2.30pm
Confirmed speakers include:
Expert on improving outcomes for
disadvantaged pupils, speaking about closing
the word gap and prioritising reading.
Former Executive Headteacher and NLE with extensive
experience of school inspections and improvement,
speaking on how to build a firm foundation for all pupils
to ‘learn to read’ to be able to ‘read to learn'.
Head teacher of Sheringham Nursery School &
author of the revised Development Matters,
speaks about the importance of getting early
