Gospel Reading
John 19:25-27
Deacon:
The Lord be with you.
All:
And with your spirit.
Deacon:
A reading from the holy Gospel
according to John.
All:
Glory to you, O Lord.
All:
Standing near the cross of Jesus were his
mother, and his mother’s sister, Mary the wife
of Clopas and Mary Magdalene. When Jesus
saw his mother and the disciple whom he loved
standing beside her, he said to his mother,
“Woman, here is your son.” Then he said to
the disciple, “Here is your mother.” And from
that moment the disciple took her into his own
home.
The Gospel of the Lord.
All:
Praise to you, Lord Jesus Christ.

Homily
Archbishop Patrick O’Regan
Apostle’s Creed
All stand
I believe in God,
the Father almighty,
Creator of heaven and earth,
and in Jesus Christ, his only
Son, our Lord,
who was conceived by the Holy
Spirit,
born of the Virgin Mary,
suffered under Pontius Pilate,
was crucified, died and was
buried;
He descended into hell;
on the third day he rose again
from the dead;
He ascended into heaven,
and is seated at the right hand of
God the Father almighty;
from there He will come to
judge the living and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit,
the holy catholic Church,
the communion of saints,
the forgiveness of sins,
the resurrection of the body,
and life everlasting.
Amen.

a Church that truly welcomes
all. Lord, hear us.
Lord, hear our prayer.
We pray for Emeritus
