NO-WAKE INFO
In 2018, high water levels triggered a no-wake zone on the lakes to
prevent soil erosion and bank collapses. This plan created a 600-foot
enforcement zone around the lakeshore. This plan has been updated and
the 600-foot enforcement zone has been eliminated. An emergency 5
mph rule will now go into effect when waters reach a certain height on all
lakes in Dickinson County: 26” for the Okoboji chain and 22” for Big Spirit.
