Every Body Has A Medical History
Celebrate the reopening of the Old Operating Theatre Museum and
Herb Garret and experience our exciting new Local Artists Exhibition!
Featuring 19 original visual artworks from innovative and local artists
all displayed amongst the Museum’s historical collection.
Due to the large amount of interest and impressive range of artworks
received during our Open Call for our 2023 Artist Ambassador positions,
the Museum decided to expand this opportunity and provide a platform
for more local artists in the form of an exhibition.
Each artist was asked to respond to one of two themes, Herbal Histories,
which is the Museum’s programme theme for 2023, or Every Body Has A
Medical History, which is always a core part of the overarching approach
the Museum takes to representation and storytelling.
The exhibition will be on display in the Museum for 6 weeks for all
our visitors to experience and enjoy, from 21st April until 28th May.
The exhibition is included in the normal admission price to visit the
Museum.
