Brian has lived in West Hythe for over 40 years and much of his work is inspired by his home
garden. Here, his surroundings include the ruins of an ancient church and the Mission Hut,
now used as his studio. An artist of distinction, working predominantly in oil and acrylic, Brian
has been painting still life and the colourful landscapes of nearby Romney Marsh for many
A prestigious appearance at the Royal Academy of Art Summer show in 1987 preceded
London gallery exhibitions and Brian’s artworks are now exhibited, and privately owned, in
the UK and overseas.
A demonstrator for ‘The Artist’ Magazine for 30 years, his commissions include six portraits
for the Imos Foundation and for the cruise liner ‘Saga Rose’. Brian is regularly involved in the
South East Open Studios and the Hythe Festival Art Trail.
