Kent ceramic artist Eva Blume completed the City & Guilds in Ceramics and Design part II
(Advanced) in 1995 where she became excited about the many ways of working with clay.
Her house sculptures are inspired by her fascination of houses and roofscapes, using various
clays and porcelain, colours and glazes to create them.
Eva is a member of both the Kent Potters Association and the Pilgrims Way Artist Group and
has extended her creative repertoire to include collages, linocut printing and etching. She
regularly exhibits and her works can currently be viewed at the Lilford Framing and Gallery
in Canterbury. Earlier this year following her desire to explore different design, clays and kiln
work she designed her first ceramic candle holder, one of which she has kindly donated to
the Art of Kent auction.
