Herne bay artist Sarah Manly is a glass coldworker and uses traditional wheels on a number
of old glass cutting lathes to produce one-off sculptures and contemporary work. She uses
various grinding techniques to exploit the incredible physical qualities of glass and for Sarah,
“It’s the most brilliant and beautiful of materials to work with.”
She has had the honour of working with renown glass artists such as Anthony Scala and Laura
McKinley and has also completed glass restoration work for Nostalgic Glass. Sarah has very
generously created a bespoke one-off sculpture especially for Art of Kent auction
