Rowan Atkinson
Tour Jacket
Rowan Atkinson has donated this very special and unique leather
flying jacket created for the ‘Rowan Atkinson in Revue’ tour from 1986.
Rowan Atkinson first found fame on our TV screens on the BBC Show
’Not The None O’Clock News’, alongside Griff Rhys Jones, Mel Smith,
and Pamela Stephenson.
He is best known for his TV work in ‘Blackadder’ and ‘Mr. Bean’, and
‘Maigret’, and the movies ‘Johnny English’, and ‘Four Weddings
and a Funeral’.
Rowan Atkinson received the 1981 BAFTA for Best Entertainment
Performance, and via his participation in The Secret Policeman’s Ball
(1979). In addition to his 1981 BAFTA, Rowan received an Olivier Award
for his 1981 West End theatre performance in ‘Rowan Atkinson in
Revue’.
