Earl of Snowdon
‘Hug’ Banner
Earl of Snowdon ‘Hug’ Banner, featuring Griff Rhys Jones.
The giant banner was made for the retrospective of Lord Snowdon’s
work in 2012 at the Scottish National Portrait Gallery. It was hung outside
on a very tall flagpole and represents a portrait he made of Griff Rhys
Jones as Toad in the National Theatre production of ‘The Wind in The
Willows’ in 1990.
It was clearly one of his favourites, and is printed on a heavy plastic,
which you may be able to get further use out of as a ground sheet for a
wedding marquee or to cover material in a goods yard. Or if you have
a mind to, a beautiful display outside a building. Or maybe gift it to the
V&A. It was given to Griff by the Earl Of Snowdon himself.
A UK delivery charge will be added to winning bids appropriate to the size and value of the item.
Additional delivery locations and special delivery requests can be arranged at additional cost.
Whilst we endeavour to ship winning items as quickly as possible, due to COVID restrictions, we cannot guarantee Christmas delivery.
