THE GREAT HOME GROOMING GUIDE
Get used to grooming:
Have your owner touch your paws and regularly run
a brush through your coat. If the brush makes you
nervous, ask your owner to hold a treat in their fist
as encouragement. Rewarding you with it will
positively reinforce the brushing process.
You’ll soon learn to love being on the receiving
end of a good old groom.
Bond through brushing:
Brushing is a brilliant way to bond with your owner
and help you feel calmer and more connected. Daily
brushing will keep your skin and coat healthy and
looking tip-top. Begin at your neck and move slowly
down the body, taking care around any sensitive
areas. Pay special attention to ears which can
become matted easily.
Find the right products:
Our pals with long flowing coats need different
products and tools to those with short hair. On the
hunt for grooming products to order online? Below
are some of our favourites.
Shine those gnashers:
Brush gently at a 45-degree angle using a moistened
dog toothbrush, a child’s toothbrush or a rubber
finger brush. Never use your human’s toothpaste
- it’s poisonous for us dogs! Instead, try the delicious
liver-flavoured option below! Mmmhmm.
MISSING YOUR REGULAR WASH ‘N GO?
