Inclusion & Diversity
Workshop with

We are working to increase
the diversity of voices
in our programmes and
publications, and we
published our first Diversity
and Inclusion Strategy in 2018.
This strategy permeates every aspect
of our work and we want to hear from
poets belonging to underrepresented
or misrepresented groups who are
interested in becoming involved in
our advisory group on an on-going

As part of our diversity and inclusion
programme, masterclasses and
readings were delivered by Jackie Kay,
Eileen Myles and Rafeef Ziadadh, and
were targeted specifically to poets
of colour and poets identifying as
At this year’s Dublin Book Festival we
presented Notes from the Margins,
a poetry reading and conversation
chaired by academic and activist
Ailbhe Smyth with poets Rosamund
Taylor and Toby Buckley and artist
and activist Will St Leger, which
looked at the current moment in
Irish LGBTQI+ poetry and the
importance of a plurality of voices in
contemporary poetry.
