The STULZ Wpamini Keeps it Cool in Mission
Critical Applications
TULZ, one of the world's leading solution
providers of energy efficient temperature and
announced the launch of the WPAmini chiller with
integrated free cooling.
It has been designed
specifically for data centres with low cooling
requirements and industrial chilling.
The compact chiller will deliver a cooling capacity up to 160
kW in a very small space. The chillers are operated with two
redundant refrigerant circuits to increase operational
reliability. Both circuits are controlled on the basis of the
required cooling capacity, so that the respective circuit is
activated with maximum efficiency when minimal cooling is
needed. The WPAmini is equipped with maximum size
aluminium microchannel condensers and four scroll
compressors, which are activated and deactivated (25, 50,
75, 100 %) in stages, in line with the current heat load. The
compressor operating time can be reduced to a minimum
using the optional free cooling facility, which will
considerably reduce power consumption, and operating
costs. Three operating modes are available in total: DX
mode, free cooling mode and mixed mode. In mixed mode,
cooling capacity is generated by means of simultaneous
free cooling and compressor cooling. This means that
significant energy savings can be achieved even at
moderate outdoor temperatures.
Thanks to the technology, this latest innovation from STULZ
can also run in extreme local climates. Its extensive
operating limits range from -40 to +50°C, depending on the
model. The generously designed switch gear cabinet
ensures there is space for any additional electrical
equipment. This is a real benefit as there is no need for extra
switch gear cabinets or extensions. Looking to the future,
the WPAmini chillers already meet stage 2018 of the EU
legislation - Ecodesign of the Energy-related Products
Directive (ErP) which comes into effect September 2018.

New Vero +4 Helps Larger Venues to
Slash Waste and Boost Profits
ero Water has unveiled the largest machine in its
range of unique on-site purified drinking water
systems. The Vero +4 has been designed for
high volume dispensing and is capable of delivering 1
litre of water per 20 seconds, which is suitable for large
bars, pubs, hotels, restaurants and conference venues
catering for up to 500 people. The new unit is the first
Vero machine to have an integrated filter system, making it more streamlined.
Vero Water systems are the perfect alternative to buying in
expensive bottled water, enabling the hospitality industry to
offer customers purified, chilled and great-tasting still and
sparkling water very inexpensively, while also making a
Vero systems connect directly to the mains water system
and use a unique 5-stage process to remove chemicals
and impurities. The result is water that tastes as good as
any branded mineral water. At the press of a button the
Vero unit can fill a glass, or an attractive 950ml machinewashable Vero bottle, which can be refilled again and again.
The environmental benefits of Vero Water systems are
significant, as not only do they create a practically zero
carbon footprint, but they also help to keep landfills free of
one-use glass and plastic waste.
The rental for the Vero unit is very low, which means bars
can keep the cost to a minimum for their customers as well.
A bar can sell a 950ml bottle of Vero water for just £1 —
any other type of bought-in bottled water would probably
cost the customer £4 or more. So, the more Vero water a
bar sells, the more money it makes.
The new Vero +4 system is already proving popular. One
of the UK’s top wedding and events venues, Elmore Court,
in Gloucestershire, has invested in a unit as part of its
vision to become a truly sustainable and eco-friendly business.
