Energy Experts’ Seven Essential Steps towards
Energy Compliance for Facilities Managers
E
xperts from Kinect Energy
Group are offering facilities
managers free expert advice on
the upcoming ESOS Phase 2
legislation.
Phase 2 of ESOS (Electricity Savings
Opportunity Scheme), will come into
effect in December 2019 and will impact
all businesses that employ more than
250 people, or that turnover more than
€50m.
Kinect’s engineering manager, Adam
Pigott, will share the seven essential
steps towards becoming ESOS Phase
2 compliant as part of a free webinar at
10am on Thursday 27 September.
Businesses failing to comply could face
a fine up to £235,000, whilst those that
do stand to make significant cost
savings, become more energy efficient
and reduce carbon emissions.
The final deadline for compliance is 5th
December 2019, many industry
observers, including the Environment
Agency, are recommending action is
taken now, both to ensure sufficient time
allowed to complete all mandated
activities and minimise the likelihood of

a shortage of qualified assessors, as was
experienced during ESOS Phase 1.
Businesses that complied with ESOS
regulations four years ago, who continue
to meet the eligibility criteria, must also
renew.
Kinect Energy engineering manager,

webinar is to raise awareness, inform
businesses and separate the fact from
the fiction. We want to equip businesses
with the relevant information in plenty of
time, so they can take action well before
the deadline of 5 December 2019.
