VICTIM
AWARENESS
FEEDBACK
“I wish I had of been offered this a few years ago when I was
convicted of a different offence, it would of been really beneficial
for me to get me thinking about the impact of my actions.”
"I've learnt from this session that shoplifting doesn’t just affect me, but it affects the shops too
and the members of staff. One of the things I will be taking away with me is to make sure I don't
offend in the future”
“He was really pleased he had been able to engage with the VA session, adding he feels
very positive about it and that he has developed a greater understanding of the impact
on victims and it helped him think in a more empathetic way”
SUPPORTING
EMERGENCY WORKERS
A case was referred by L’s offender manager after L had been
verbally abusive and spat at two Police Officers. L really wanted
to engage with RJ and the Officers were willing to receive a letter
of apology from L.
L had been very clear in what she
would like to say all the way
through the process and
wrote the letter with minimal
assistance from the RJP.
