Discovering your potential
The annual school show is an important event
for everyone who loves dance, drama and music.
Accompanied by student musicians, recent
shows have included Hairspray, The Sound of
Music, and Grease.
Students who have
participated every year receive awards that are
presented on the Gala night. Dancers are able to
lend their time and talents to the Rock
Challenge, a national annual event in which
teams of students devise and choreograph their
work which has to contain a strong ethical
element. In recent years, our dancers have won
regional awards.
Robert May’s is the perfect place for young
people who love sports, performing arts, fine
arts and photography!
The Sports Honours Boards near to the Gym
show you which students are excelling at
district,
county,
regional,

international level. Several of our young people
are permitted time during the week to develop
their skills or take part in tournaments and
fixtures. A significant proportion not only
represent the school in their teams, but also
attend local clubs and hone their skills further.
We are proud to boast the country’s top
under 20 - 400m distance runner, one of the
country’s top under-16 tennis stars and a
GB under-18 sailor.
Fine Art, installation Art, Textiles, Fashion
Design, Pottery and Photography are all part of
the curriculum and can also be studied after
hours in clubs. Additional subject related clubs
also include Science clubs, Robotics and
