LEVEL 4 EARLY YEARS ADVANCED PRACTITIONER
COURSE INFORMATION
The Level 4 Certificate for the Early Years Advanced Practitioner is aimed at current
Level 3 Practitioners by providing professional development opportunities for
practitioners working in the Early Years workforce at Level 3. This qualification will
embrace the wealth and experience of the Level 3 workforce and challenge learners in
both their daily practice and theoretical understanding. An Advanced Practitioner is
able to use leadership skills to mentor others across all roles and responsibilities in
the Early Years setting.
Throughout the programme, the learner will undertake many different types of
assessment including voice discussions, observations of practice, reflective
accounts, written assignments, witness testimonies completed by the employer as
well as a small scale research project. Employers will be asked to be involved in
providing learners with the learning opportunities required for their programme.
To be enrolled on to this course, learners must be aged 19 and over and hold a full
and relevant Level 3 Early Years childcare qualification. They must also be employed
in an Early Years setting and supported by their employer to complete this
qualification.
LEVEL 5 EARLY YEARS SENIOR PRACTITIONER
COURSE INFORMATION
The purpose of the Level 5 Diploma for the Early Years Senior Practitioner
qualification is to support leadership and management skills across the early
years sector and acquire the knowledge and skills relating directly to early
years practice. The Early Years Senior Practitioner is a positive role model for
the team and supports best practice through promoting legislative
requirements, motivational opportunities, and quality provision for improved
outcomes for babies and children.
