UNICEF Meeting – Programme
Representatives from each class from 5th Elementary to 1st
Baccalaureate were able to attend a talk with Adriana
Negueruela from UNICEF to explain what the "DROPS"
program is, with which Mirabal International School has
collaborated with the Solidarity Race, which our students
participated in the week of March 22nd to 25th.
UNICEF Solidarity Career Drops
Throughout this week, students at Mirabal International School (from 1st Primary to 1st Baccalaureate) have been
participating in the Solidarity Race. The School has been recognized by UNICEF as a Reference Center for Education in
Children's Rights and Global Citizenship. Creating a partnership and collaborating with UNICEF in the “Drops” initiative,
which seeks both to give visibility to the lack of clean drinking water supply, sanitation in more disadvantaged areas, and
more specifically, the difficulty of being able to access to a School education in these areas.
In addition, funds have been raised for this program, which students have been giving to their tutors, in order to make a joint
contribution on behalf of the entire College.
The race took place on our athletics track, and all the students and members of the educational community had the
opportunity to participate in this beautiful initiative, reaffirming our Schools commitment to UNICEF Spain, as the Amiga
School of that organization, by joining sport and solidarity together in one event to improve access to water and hygiene for
those who need it most.
Thank you all for your efforts!!
