Bloemfontein Primary School!

Headteacher said,
Governors of Bloemfontein Primary School have given
the go-ahead for the school to open a 20 place nursery
provision within the primary school.
"We are so excited to begin w ork on creating a
nursery provision for Bloemfontein.
The nursery provision, which will be based on the school
premises, is set to open in early 2021. Overseen by a
qualified teacher specialising in Early Years, the setting will
be thoughtfully designed to meet the needs of the local
children, offering one home base for children aged 3-4
years.
Our school is the heart of our community, this
w elcome addition to what w e can offer families,
w ill only strengthen that.
Steph Henderson, Bloemfontein Primary School’s Chair
of Governors said:
"We are delighted to approve the introduction of a
new nursery provision to our school.
Our aim is to create an environment where our
children can embrace learning from an early age.
We are confident that w elcoming children into our
school and trust community at nursery age, w ill ensure
smoother transition into full time education.
Bloemfontein Primary School has so much to offer our
children, their families and our community, it seems only
natural that w e take this step.
We w ill now begin a lot of hard w ork behind the scenes
to ensure everything is in place for us to open our
doors in the New Year."
Children attending Bloemfontein Nursery School will
make full use of the extensive outdoor learning space
the school has to offer. With a large woodland area,
full Forest School provision, outdoor cooking space and
exciting play areas, children will fully engage in all outdoor
learning opportunities.

Having children start their education w ith us at an
earlier age offers so many more opportunities. We w ill
be in the best position possible to identify the needs
of each child, ensuring they are fully supported from
the moment they begin w ith us. Having younger
children attend the same setting as older siblings w ill
be hugely beneficial to our families and having children
join us from as young as three, staying w ith us until 11,
w ill enable them to forge long lasting friendships w ith
their peers."
Bloemfontein Nursery School is scheduled to open in
early 2021 with initial operating times being 8am-4pm,
although it is anticipated these times will be extended as
the provision grows. 15-hour placements will be available
for children aged 3-4 years on a morning or afternoon
basis, with 30-hour placements also being made available
to working parents.
Anyone wishing to secure a place, or wanting more
information, should contact the school directly on
(01207) 232198.
