Once a potential site and layout is identified, we can provide ZTV (Zone of Theoretical Visibility) maps which
will show the likely visual impact of a solar farm. This can subsequently be used as a basis for examining the
screening effects of on-site planting, and how this might change over time.
Further into the planning application, there may be a requirement to produce visuals from specific viewpoints
to illustrate the visual impact of the site. We can assist in taking photography which can then be accurately
matched to a 3D model of the proposed site layout. The solar farm, including any infrastructure and planting
can then be presented as either wireline overlays or photomontages. Advice will be given as to the best way
to present images so that they comply with current Landscape Institute Guidance.
