Tattersalls Ireland appoints new Marketing Manager
TATTERSALLS Ireland is delighted to
announce that Mary Lanigan will take
up the position as Marketing Manager
from November 1, having previously
worked in the role of Sales and
Marketing Executive for the past eight
years.
Mary hails from Ratoath, County
Meath, and brings a vast amount of
experience to her new role with her
career to date spanning a number
of large multinational companies in
Ireland and Europe.
Tattersalls Ireland CEO Simon Kerins
commented: “We are fortunate to have
someone of this calibre stepping into
the position of Marketing Manager.
“Mary has all the attributes to be an
outstanding team leader, and I have
every confidence that she will continue
to make a positive contribution to the
work of Tattersalls Ireland and further
strengthen the brand.”
Commenting on her appointment,

Route Hunt hosts autumn
point to point at Portrush

N Saturday, October 15,
The Route Hunt ran their
Autumn Point to Point
races at Loguestown Road,
Portrush.
Entries for the races closed on
Tuesday October 11 at noon and a
total of 58 horses were entered with
30 horses declaring for racing on
the day.
In the parade ring, Rex Humphries
judged the best turned out horse
in each race and the turnout prize
money was sponsored by NFU
Limavady.
Best turnout winners were:
In race 1 Ballyfinn won the best
turned out prize for groom Tara
Stewart.
In race 2 Hi Sur Multi won for
groom Justin Hardy.
In race 3 Annie Bella won for
groom David Christie Junior.
In race 4 Coastal Tiep won for
groom Amy Shannon.
In race 5 Ferns Lock won for groom
David Christie Junior.
In race 6 Le Mieux won for groom
Peter Flood.
There were six races on the

day with great racing in all and
especially in race 4 where Barry
O’Neill achieved his third win of
the day in three races and despite
the autumnal weather there was a
reasonable turnout of race goers to
watch the racing and enjoy the on
site facilities.

towards the running of the Point To
Point. The hunt thanks Ian McMaw
for the use of his land to run the
event, the hunt members for all
their help and all the volunteers
who help on the day. Without this
help the event could not take place.
A spokesman added, “Thanks also
goes to the farmers and landowners
over whose lands we hunt, for
their kindness and cooperation
throughout the season.”
Portrush Spring Point To Point is
scheduled to take place on Saturday
March 18 – St Patricks weekend.
