returns to
HIS week’s excellent
weather heralds another
Balmoral Show, a
must attend event for
the farming and rural
community alike.
This year’s show sees the
return of Abbey Machinery, one
of Ireland’s oldest and most
established agricultural machinery
manufacturers, with over seven
decades of experience.
“We are delighted to be back
exhibiting at the show. This is an
important market for us and we
are at the show displaying our
latest machine technologies.
“At Balmoral this year we have
a 2250 Recess Tandem Tanker,
complete with our recently
developed 7.5m Applicator.
“With farmers’ ever-changing
demands to reduce environmental
impact, this machine places the
slurry in discrete lines below the
canopy of the crop, which allows
the foliage of the crop to harness
more of the available nitrogen
in the slurry and reduce carbon
emissions – a win-win situation for
the farmer and the environment,”
remarks Michael A O’Grady,
Sales, Marketing & Business
Development Manager, Abbey
Also on display is the VF1350
single auger Diet Feeder with its
unique low auger profile, robust
drive train, wide feed-out door and
overall strength of build. Along
with this is the 8ft Maxi Float
Topper, which assists farmers to
reduce weed burdens and improve
pasture re-growth.
“On the 4th May we had our
machines on display at the
Holstein Northern Ireland Open
Day event attended by hundreds of
dairy farmers across the Province.
I was delighted with the interest
and we are now pleased to be at
Balmoral Show this year.
“It has been a very busy year
so far and we are expecting great
interest at our stand at the show,”
remarks David O’Malley, Abbey
Machinery Area Sales Manager,
Northern Ireland.
The firm has a full team available
on the stand, so whether its
slurry management solutions,
feed management issues or
pasture management it has the
full technology to cater for the
‘total cow’. Call at stand Stand C48,
Avenue 6.
