HORSEWEEK
R
OALEX Equestrian and Country
Wear is located on the main street of
Fivemiletown, County Tyrone. It is run
by two sisters, Rosanna and Alexandra
Bothwell. The shop has been open for
approximately a year and a half and is doing
very well to date. The brands stocked include:
Schoffel, Le Chameau, Ariat, RM Williams,
Hortons England and Manfredi Equestrian.
Not forgetting smaller family run brands, such
as Hartwell Country, Welligogs, Highland and
Herringbone, Clare Haggas, MacKenzie and
George and Alix Fern (Fedoras).
Schoffel, a British outdoor and country
clothing brand, is tailored to the needs of the
British field sports market, such as shooting,
fishing and attending outdoor sports, such as
rugby and horse riding events. This brand has
combined innovation and technology with a
passion for superb styling and outstanding
quality. Furthermore, they have expanded
their range to include casual country clothing
to suit everyday pursuits. Their fleece gilets,
knitwear, jeans, men’s shirts and sweatshirts
are particularly popular amongst all ages due
to their style, quality and versatility.
Le Chameau is a brand best known for
their wellingtons. Each pair is made using
the highest quality materials and therefore
has exceptional comfort and durability. Over
time, technology, flair and craftsmanship have
allowed this brand to create collections for
all occasions - for town and country. Roalex
Equestrian and Country Wear will have
beautiful boat shoes arriving in shortly for the
Spring-Summer season. Make sure to check
these out in store or online!
RM Williams is another exceptional brand,
which Rosanna and Alexandra are delighted to
say is available in Fivemiletown. This brand is
best known amongst men, due to their popular
and extremely comfortable leather boots.
What’s exciting is that they are expanding to
include men’s clothing, ladies clothing and
footwear and accessories, such as belts. The
rugby shirts and sweatshirts for both ladies
and men in the Spring-Summer collection are
very popular in store. These are the perfect
addition to any outfit when out and about at
weekends or visiting friends for coffee.

When starting out with Roalex, Rosanna and
Alexandra also appreciated the importance
of supporting smaller family-run businesses.
For example, Highland and Herringbone
have recently launched new jumpers made
from 100% lambswool spun in Yorkshire and
manufactured in Leicestershire. The ethics
behind these brands are very important to
Rosanna and Alexandra, as they come from a
farming background and therefore understand
the difficulties faced by farmers and how
important it is to support farmers by helping to
ensure a fairer price for their produce.
Another example is Welligogs - a ‘distinctly
British clothing and footwear’ brand. A familyrun business with the majority of their beautiful
tweeds and wax jackets made in England.
Rosanna and Alexandra’s final aim is to add
traditional ‘Made in Ireland’ clothing ranges, so
that they can also support local Irish brands.
To kick this off, they have started stocking
traditional Aran Woollen Knitwear. Watch this
space to see who they have chosen to work
with next!
Rosanna and Alexandra are also proud to
say that they are the only shop in NI/ ROI to
offer Manfredi - a Spanish equestrian brand.
This stylish brand provides riding gear for
both training and competition days. It is very
comfortable and functional, making it the
perfect choice. The clothing is UV protected
and has maximum breathability.
Roalex Equestrian and Country Wear will be
attending Balmoral Show on May 10-13 again
this year, so if you are unable to travel to the
shop in Fivemiletown, Balmoral is perfect
place to find them.
They have Spring-Summer stock arriving in
store now, so it’s the ideal time to visit the shop
at 75 Main Street, Fivemiletown, BT75 0PG.
There are lots of beautiful new arrivals coming
from all the stockists!
Although the shop is a great place to try
before you buy, they do have a website: www.
roalex.co.uk with an online shop. They also
offer free P&P on orders over £100.
If you have any questions before you order,
please give Rosanna and Alexandra a call on
07546 930225 and they will be more than
happy to help.
Rosanna and Alexandra would really
appreciate it if you would follow their social
media accounts - Facebook: RoaleX; Instagram:
roalex_clothing. This is a great way to let
everyone know about their new venture and
regular stock arriving in store. They thank you
for your support and look forward to seeing
you soon!
