BALMORAL SHOW
V-Mac to launch
50 ton silo
M
cAREE Engineering is
launching at Balmoral
Show the latest addition to its award
winning
V-Mac
silo range with its new 3.3m
diameter, 50 ton capacity silo.
Eamon McMeel, V-Mac Silos
Technical Sales Manager, stated:
“We are seeing a growing
demand
for
larger
silos,
especially in the poultry and
pig sector. We see this silo as
filling this gap in the market.
Not only is the capacity a big
benefit to customers but the
fact that we can erect the silo
using our existing handling
equipment means that it is a
simple, straightforward delivery
without the costs of crane hire
to be added.”
The silo comes complete with
a heavy duty galvanised roof, a
sturdy galvanised hip ring and
is supported on four 150mm x
150mm hot dipped galvanised
legs all manufactured by McAree
Engineering’s expert team.
The new V-mac 50-ton silo will
be available in both single and
split formats.
In addition, the McAree team
will be displaying a silo which
meets the challenge of storing
the new, complex feeds with
which some customers have
experienced a poor product
flow out of traditional silos. A
large capacity, anti-separation
chamber on the roof ensures
the consistency of feed as it is
blown into the silo while a 70
degree angled cone promotes
the best flow possible.
Eamon added: “It’s a real
challenge storing these type of
feeds and getting the feed into
feed systems without the feed
separating and bridging in the
silo, these additional design
options we have available will
make a real difference to the
storage of these feeds.”
To celebrate the launch of
these new enhancements, V-Mac
silos will be holding a free draw
for a V-Mac feed barrow to
everyone who comes along to
their stand and fills out a form.
