hosted
an
inter-club
show
jumping challenge
at Knockagh View Equestrian
Centre, Greenisland. It was a
bit of a wet start, but the rain
soon went off and the sun
came out and a great day was
had by all.
Ballycorr would like to
thank Ruth and Scott Logan
for the use of their excellent
facilities; Paul Johnston for
doing a fabulous job judging;
Evie Williamson for taking
the photographs; David and
Sylvia Nicholl for building

to host third
league for 2022
THE third of Ecclesville’s show
jumping leagues for 2022 is scheduled
to start on Friday, May 20 and will run
for five weeks with the final on Friday,
June 17. The show starts at 6.15pm
with a 40cm class, followed by 50cm,
60cm, 70cm, 80cm, 90cm and 1m. The
Course Builder for the League will be
Raymond Caldwell.
At the final of each of the five
Leagues throughout 2022, points will
be awarded to the top six competitors
in each class. The last League Final
for 2022 will see the presentation
of Perpetual Cups, sponsored by
local businesses, awarded to the
combination with the most points in
each class!
To be eligible for the prizes at the
final, competitors must compete in
three out of four previous weeks, with
the same combination rider and pony
jumping in the same class.

HE children brought the
sunshine with them to
Gransha Equestrian Centre,
Bangor on Sunday (May 8) for the
second of the 12 and Under Fun Days
this spring, which incorporated the
final Equine Awards NI Mini and
Junior Stars Dressage and Show
Jumping qualifier! The children’s
smiles lit up the day and thanks to
the judges, Alex Ryan, Jenny Bell,
Dawn Kennedy, Kirsty Jackson and
Courtney Stuart, the results were
very pleasing and evenly spread
throughout the competitors.
The last qualifier of the Equine
Awards NI Mini and Junior Rising
Stars brought in more contestants
for the final to be held at Gransha
on Saturday, June 4.
