New Year Working Hunter
Charity Show at Connell Hill
020 was successfully
brought in at Connell
Randalstown, kicking
off the year with
the rst Working Hunter
Charity Show of the season
on Saturday, January 18.
With proceeds going to the
Antrim Area Rheumatology
Department, Connell Hill
saw a large turnout and an
extremely high standard
of showing throughout the
day, kindly judged by Ms
Hilary Gibson and Mr Ryan
Thanks to the support and
generosity of competitors
and spectators, an amazing
£930.00 has been raised so
far for this worthy cause.
A special thank you to
all the sponsors of the
Equestrian Store, Sam Smith
Ballylurgan Farms, Dodds
Travel, Clonkeen Equestrian,
Antrim Chase and Chip Chip
Hooray. The Championship
was also kindly sponsored
by Mossgrove Farms and
Cathy Carson, with the
deserving Champion and
Reserve Champion of the
day, receiving £100 and £50.
Lastly, the rosettes for each
class and Championship
sashes were kindly sponsored
by Sylvia Thompson. The
support of these sponsors
allowed for an amazing prize
pot for the day, making this
a superb competition to be
part of.

BALLYCASTLE and Rural Riding Community will host
a Hunt ride at Dunloy (with a USA twist) on Saturday,
February 1. This ride is suitable for all abilities, riders who
want to jump will leave at 12 noon in hunting formation,
non-jumpers will leave at 12.30pm and follow go as you
please signage.
The ride is in conjunction with Fergal Dooey, Sheans
Horse Farm and Heritage Centre and Ballycastle and
Rural Riding Community. Fergal and Sheans are hosting
American riders from Virginia, who will be joining in on
the day. They are keen riders, who love horses and the
Emerald Isle and hosts would like to give them a warm
welcome. Hunt dress is preferred, there will be leaders
acting as masters on the day.
The fee for the ride is £20 for adults and £15 for under 16s,
refreshments will served afterwards. The address for the
