Exceptional equestrian artist Santi Serra
to perform at the Dublin Horse Show
SANTI Serra is one of the
most sought-after equestrian
artists in the world and
he will appear every day
at this year’s Longines
FEI Jumping Nations
CupTM Stena Line Dublin
Horse Show, August 7-11,
demonstrating his amazing
animal understanding that
has been honed over many
years. But his skills extend
beyond horses, with routines
that involve dogs and birds of
prey, which will be appearing
in Ireland for the first time.
Born into a family that
breeds Arabian horses
in Spain, Santi Serra
was on horseback before
he could walk. He is an
exceptional exponent of
‘natural dressage’, which
makes his performance
look as natural and easy
as possible, concealing the
thousands of hours of work
that goes into forming such
an incredible relationship
with his animals. Santi finds
it hard to articulate how
he communicates through
non-verbal actions, putting
it down to instinct, trust and
harmony.
This is Santi’s second
performance at the RDS,
having previously wowed
audiences with his ‘no tack’
show in 2016.
RDS CEO Michael Duffy
said: “We have a great
entertainment line-up this

year at the Show, but the
equestrian entertainment
is always that little bit
special. Santi’s show was
a real hit with audiences
back in 2016. He has since
established himself as one
of the best in the world and
we are delighted to see him
back and this time with his
falcons. The incredible bond
between him and his horses
will astonish anyone who
works in equestrianism and,
for those with less expertise
with horses, his show is just
really good fun.”
Santi will perform each day
of the Show, which runs
from Wednesday, August
7 until Sunday, August 11.
