As all-Ireland agent for Spinder, a
Dutch company specialising in housing
solutions for the dairy industry, John
Porter Engineering Limited have been
experiencing increased demand in the
DCC Waterbed since they launched the
product in Ireland in 2017.
DCC Waterbeds have been installed on
many farms across Northern Ireland, with
several farmers ordering a second batch
of waterbeds when refurbishing existing
sheds.
The DCC Waterbed was first developed
in the USA in 2003 with the latest DCC
ISO version launched in 2013. With over
one million sold in over 30 countries
worldwide they have a proven track
record for comfort and reliability over a
lifespan of 15-20 years.
Spinder also manufacture a range of
robust, mechanised Feed Fences which
have been installed on farms in Northern
Ireland by John Porter Engineering.
They are also the all-Ireland agent for
Arntjen, a German company with a focus
on housing equipment for the dairy
industry including:
n Electric Curtain Systems
n LED Lighting Systems
n Light Ridges
n Stainless Steel Drinkers
The stainless steel drinkers have proven
popular with their robust design and antifrost mechanism which does not require a
power source to run.
The Triplex LED Lighting System
generates extremely bright light, and one
light can illuminate a 36m span building.
As such these have proven to be a hit
with NI farmers due to the quality of the
product and low energy consumption of
each unit.
In addition to this the Electric Curtain
System has been installed on a handful
of farms in Northern Ireland, allowing
full control of the ventilation of new or
existing buildings depending on wind,
rain and ambient temperature.
