Safety on the Broads
If you are intending to hire a boat we highly recommend that
your pawrents buy you a doggy life jacket prior to your trip and
that you wear it at all times when on the boat. Do remember to
never jump from the boat to the bank before your boat has been
safely moored, otherwise you could slip and get stuck between
the boat and the bank… Eeeek! The Broads is not suitable for
swimming – there are strong currents, reeds and all sorts of
trouble you could get yourself into! If you would like to dip
your paws in the water then visit Salhouse Broad where there
is a gentle slope into the water – ideal for paddles. Always
follow guidance and ask your human to ensure you are under
control at all times. Please don’t get over-excited and start
chasing the wildlife – you’ll upset and scare the animals and I
know you don’t want to do that!
I shall be repawting back to Pupstar that all the ‘tales’ we had
heard about the Broads were really true. With its outdoor
activities and places for you and all the family to explore it
makes for a truly pawsome adventure!
