FELBRIGG HALL
We are not allowed inside this imposing
17th century stately home but we can
visit the grounds and the tearooms. There
are three easy to follow circular walks;
one is a 2 mile walk which is suitable for
dogs in strollers. You’ll find a map with
information on the walks in the car park.

If you fancy a bit of retail therapy then
you can’t go wrong with a trip to a garden
centre. ‘We love dogs’ is the motto at
Cherry Lane Garden Centres where dogs
are allowed throughout the store (with the
exception of the food aisle). All they ask
is that we stay on the lead and that the
pawrents clean up if we have an accident!

overlooking the garden where dogs are

HOLKHAM HALL
We are not allowed inside this majestic
18th century country house but there are
3,000 acres of parkland to visit. Lots of
deer and other wildlife around so please
stay on the lead. There’s also a dog
friendly café, plus a lake which makes
for a nice round walk and a park walk
too - both are signposted.

HOLT COUNTRY PARK
Lots to do at this country park including
several colour-coded woodland walks for
great sniffs. It is home to many varieties
of butterflies. There’s a visitors’ hut
where you can get some information.
Watch out for the wild ponies and
livestock! The Park is open every day.
From Holt you can walk to Baconsthorpe
Castle (8.5 miles) and visit the ruins of
this 15th century manor house.

KNETTISHALL HEATH
COUNTRY PARK
This is a park with well over 400 acres of
Breckland heath and mixed woodland and
is located in both Norfolk and Suffolk. For
those of you who love your walking it is the
starting point of the famous Peddars Way
and Angles Way. There are four trails
around the reserve between 1 and 2.5 miles,
including an all access trail around the river.
Be aware that ponies and cattle graze in
certain areas and birds nest during the period
between March 1st and July 31st. Open 7
days a week. Toilets open from April to
