IMPACT REPORT 2016
WCIB Essay Competition
I’d like to thank you for giving
students the opportunity to take
part in the inter-schools essay
competition. It was an enriching
experience for all participants.”
137 students took part in the annual essay
competition, which we run in partnership
with the Worshipful Company of
International Bankers (WCIB). 16 schools
submitted essays on an economic subject,
with winning essays chosen by members of
the WCIB and prizes given at a prestigious
event hosted by ING.

Mock assessment centres
Recruitment processes have changed a lot in recent years and more students than
ever are struggling with the challenges that new interview structures can present.
The Barnett Waddingham-funded mock assessment centre programme began in
late 2016.
Through the programme, sixth form students learn about recruitment and
assessment practices, such as psychometric testing, group assessment tasks and
job interviews and have the opportunity to practise each area, receiving feedback
on their performance from company volunteers.
