What is the
Summer Placement Programme?
The Brokerage has been placing bright, ambitious young people into
London businesses for 20 years.
With the aim of boosting social mobility, the Summer Placement
Programme provides an opportunity for businesses to attract local young
people by showcasing their oering as London employers.
Through hosting internships of 4-13 weeks, you will be connected with
post-18, state-educated candidates who are ready to take that all
important rst step onto the career ladder.
We have hosted a growing number of
interns every summer, with some
returning for further work
opportunities. Hosting interns is a
fantastic opportunity for businesses
looking to support and tap into a
talented, diverse and local young
workforce.”

How can it help my company?
The programme provides companies with an
excellent opportunity to prepare and create
best practice for young people entering the
workplace. Businesses can use the Summer
Placement Programme to help meet their CSR
objectives, diversity goals and recruitment
needs.
Sta development
Employees working alongside young interns,
are able to develop their own communication,
mentoring and management skills. Internships
provide employers with an opportunity to
experience having young people within their
businesses.
Future talent pipeline
Host companies on the programme are
provided with early access to the next
generation of talent – bright young people
who are eager to explore the various career
options available. Around a quarter of
employers who have hosted internships oer
the students subsequent employment
opportunities, many returning the following
summer.
