A Level Business, Computer Science
and Mathematics
“I would recommend taking Mathematics to
new students if they enjoy Maths at high school.
Personally, I love maths as I enjoy working
with numbers and unknowns. My favourite
memory so far has to be the Maths trip we took
to Chester where we explored the application
of mathematics such as physics, statistics and
probability. When picking your subjects choose
carefully, over the next two years you are working
towards your future and even your dreams. I am
planning to continue my journey onto a degree in
Mathematics at The University of Manchester.”
This course focuses on day-to-day applications of
maths rather than the theoretical and abstract ideas.
You will learn invaluable techniques which include
calculations of APR, mortgage repayments and normal
distribution analysis. Additionally, the course develops
your logical approach to problem solving and the ability
to explain your argument through a clear and concise
solution.
Future Opportunities
Core Mathematics will support any university
undergraduate course, apprenticeship or employment
application and will demonstrate your commitment to
further developing your mathematical skill set.
