St Ambrose Barlow RC High School
A Level Fine Art, Graphic Design, Mathematics and
Honours Programme with EPQ
“All of the teachers here help to push and challenge
you further. I have loved studying Art because of
the creative freedom you get. It’s a relaxed yet
challenging environment which is something I
have thrived in. I love listening to the teachers
talk about their passions and passing down their
knowledge to me, they clearly love what they do. I
now hope to study Graphic Design at the University
of Huddersfield and then potentially progress onto
a Master’s Degree in Fine Art.”
Many students go on to study art and design at predegree foundation level, or a BA degree. Further study
and career opportunities within art and design include
art history, surface pattern design, fine art, 3D design,
teaching, architecture and museum or gallery curating,
as well as wider opportunities in creative industries such
as advertising and fashion.
