Book day or residential visits in beautiful grounds at Ufton or a workshop to be delivered in
your school.
We will send you pre and post-visit packs to help your year group gain the maximum
educational benefit from their visit. The packs include a brief guide to the period,
thinking keys and a teacher guide on how to use them, pre-visit preparation and
post-visit ideas like an Ufton A-Z which helps children to develop conceptual vocabulary.
Our Ufton Teacher’s packs are designed to help you to integrate your students’ Ufton

SUPPORTING THE NATIONAL CURRICULUM
FOR PRIMARY HISTORY
All of our history programmes support the Primary National Curriculum to ensure that all pupils
achieve the national curriculum objective that they:
“know and understand the history of these islands as a coherent, chronological
narrative, from the earliest times to the present day [and] to make connections,
draw contrasts [and] analyse trends”.
Pupils will be taught about:
Changes in Britain from the Stone Age to the Iron Age
Achievements of the earliest civilisations
The Roman Empire and its impact on Britain
The Viking and Anglo-Saxon struggle for the Kingdom of England
Ancient Greece – a study of Greek life and achievements and their influence on
the western world
A study of an aspect or theme in British history that extends pupils’ chronological
knowledge beyond 1066
“We are not makers of history. We are made by history.”
Martin Luther King Jr
