The Signing Up
Process
6. Direct debit Instruction:
The direct debit Instruction should contain
the customer’s bank sort code and account
details from which Moneyway are to take
the monthly direct debit payment. The
bank account must be in the customers
name, Moneyway will not accept third
party/business accounts. The Direct Debit
Instruction is to be signed and dated by the
Customer and returned.
7. Customer job check DPA Form:

In some circumstances we may wish to
contact the customer’s employer. By signing
the customer job check DPA form the
customer is authorising their employer to
provide confirmation of their employment
status/salary. The bottom of the form must
be left blank in order for us to send to the
customer’s employer. To be signed by the
Customer and returned.
Document Certification
All identification documents should be
certified by the person who has seen the
original document where a face-to-face
transaction has taken place.
Where an employee of a dealer or broker
has taken a copy of original documentation
(e.g. passport or driving licence) provided by
a Customer met face-to-face, the following
information must be added to the copy (or
supplied via e-mail or text message):
• “Certified to be a true copy of the original
seen by me”

• Where the document includes a photograph
of an individual, the following statement
must be included:
“Image certified as a true representation of
the original and likeness to the Individual”
• The full printed name of the member of staff,
their role, department and contact details
• Signature of the certifying member of staff.
• The date of certification
Failure to certify documents to the required
standard may cause a delay in processing
the application.
Compliance with the VAT Margin Scheme
The dealer will ensure that, in respect of
vehicles supplied under the VAT Margin
Scheme for second hand cars and other
vehicles (“the Scheme”), the conditions of the
Scheme are met. In particular, the following
information must be included in all invoices
(whether received or issued) for those vehicles,
as set out in Her Majesty’s Revenue and
Customs Notice 718/1 (December 2009) and
on GOV.UK published January 2016. https://

Where a vehicle is a VAT qualifying vehicle,
the dealer will issue a full VAT invoice to
Moneyway in relation to the sale of that
vehicle to Moneyway.
