Proof of
Settlement of
Existing Finance
• Valid clearance letter from the 昀椀nance company that we can link
back to the Hire Purchase agreement or the settlement can be
included within the invoice.
• If the settlement is included in the invoice the settlement amount
must equate to the total sum of the part exchange and cash
deposit values.
DVLA Check
• You will need the customer’s driving licence number to complete
the application process. If the customer does not have a copy
of their full valid UK or Northern Ireland driving licence, the
customer will need to obtain their driving licence details from
the DVLA.
• The customer can call the DVLA on 0906 139 3837 and leave
permission for Moneyway. For Northern Ireland driving licences,
customers need to call 0845 402 4000.
• Telephone mandate service is open Monday to Friday 8.00am to
8.30pm and Saturday 9.00am to 5.30pm (there is no service for
Northern Ireland driving licenses on a Saturday), or
• Customers can obtain the details via the online DVLA check.
Job Check
• Deals may be subject to a satisfactory job check. The customer
may need to complete the Customer Job DPA form to provide
permission for their employer to disclose the information
to Moneyway.
• If a customer is employed via an agency or on a zero-hour
contract for a minimum of 6 months, a job check will be required
to con昀椀rm contract status. If the customer is employed with the
same employer through the agency for this period, then the deal
may proceed.
Vehicle Clearance
• Per terms of the operating agreement, the dealer / broker
is responsible for ensuring the vehicle is clear of any
昀椀nancial interest.
