Requirement
Proof of income
• 1-month example of a current computerised payslip dated within
the last 30 days.
• Payslip must show year-to-date 昀椀gures.
• The customer’s name and employer’s name must both show on the
payslip.
• If a customer is paid more frequently than monthly, we will need to
see all payslips the customer would have to evidence the income
received.
• Cash-paid customers must provide a full month’s bank statement
showing salary credits; if this is not available, a job check will be
conducted by the V12VF New Business Processing Team.
Self-Employed
• Latest 3 months’ satisfactory bank statements.
Bene昀椀ts
Financial Proofs
• Latest 3 months’ satisfactory personal bank statements.
• In some cases, V12VF may ask for both bank statements and proof
of bene昀椀t to con昀椀rm the customer’s National Insurance number and
that the customer is receiving the bene昀椀ts, or
• A copy of the bene昀椀ts letter dated within the last 90 days.
Pension
Financial Proofs
• Latest 3 months’ satisfactory personal bank statements, or
Bank Statements
• Where bank statements are provided in all cases:
• Proof of pension dated within the last 90 days.
• The bank statements must be the latest month’s personal
bank statements.
• Mini statements are not acceptable.
• The bank statement must show regular credits to demonstrate the
customer’s income.
• The application will be declined if the bank statement shows any
returned mortgage payments.
• The application will be declined if the bank statement shows any
returned direct debits.
• PDF bank statements for online or mobile banking applications are
only acceptable if they show the customer’s name, account number and
source of the statement (e.g. URL or mobile app used).
Information on the bank statements cannot be redacted. Please note that
Underwriting may request further information.
