Foreword
Energy efficiency, sustainability, employee experience, and
data-driven decision-making have helped to transform
facilities management from a profession focussed on more
traditional maintenance to a more strategic and proactive
role. Central to all of this is an increased focus on technology.
Digital transformation is nothing new. However,
following the pandemic, recent supply chain
disruptions, and rising energy prices, digital change
has accelerated in the FM sector. In fact, many
professionals are already embracing innovations
such as IoT (Internet of Things), robotics, and
